What does line in mean? !

What cable am i suppose to put in that jack? I tried putting my headset and it won't work

Line-In is exactly what it sounds like, it's an arbitrary line input used for accepting input from external audio devices such as a synthesizer. It's functionally similar to a microphone input and some cards use the same socket for both
 
I don't know of any TV that does not have a headphone jack. What is the brand and model #? Also you can get a headset for your PS that connects directly to that and just turn off the sound on the TV speakers.
