Try another computer and see if the problem continues - eliminate a possible website problem.
What browser are you using? Any known updates, configuration changes, or add-ons?
Could be some resource conflict between another app and your browser.
Have you noted any other system problems?
May be some application trying to update itself in the background - failing but keeps trying.
Use Task Manager to see what else is running and may be consuming system resources.
