What is the best headset for gaming? (under 300)

I currently have the Logitech g930 headset and would like to get a really good headset for Christmas. I initially had a steelseries v2 headset, which only lasted 6 months, I sent it in for a replacement, and the replacement lasted for 4 weeks... I have been looking around and have found the following headsets-

I currently only use my pc to game. I usually play fps games which means surround sound wound be a nice feature. I also like to listen to music on my pc as well. I really like the wireless headsets, but if I can get a better wired headset, it doesn't matter. I also want the headset to have a built in mic. What is your opinion on the best headset based on this criteria?

Assuming thats 300 usd (You are totally nuts for that price) Try the http/www.razerzone.com/store/razer-tiamat-71 or http/www.razerzone.com/store/razer-kraken-71-chroma Razer also has plenty of more flashy products if you want that sort of look.

I myself am confused on what headset to choose but I've gotten a razer headset before and I don't like them...I honestly thing you're paying for the looks (Which I kind of did (I really liked it's look)).

The astros are probably more for the looks, but the sennheiser headsets have almost audiofile grade sound with one of the best attached mics. (Ive been watching a lot of reviews on youtube...)
