Well there are many high-end reference model cards out there. I would say they are adequate cards, but typically come with either the NVTTM cooler from Nvidia or a more basic blower style. So those will be noisier than the custom coolers, though they can be an advantage in smaller cases.

On the lower end, not really much that is bad to say. They are low power cards, cooling is adequate, and they'll do the job. When you start spending on better lower end cards, you should seriously then consider getting the next GPU up.
