Is this laptop any good for gaming from work?

SPECS are:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2640m CPU @ 2,80hz 2,80hz
RAM: 8.00GB
System: 32bit OS, x64 based processor
Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000
nVidia NVS 4200M

I want to play Borderlands 2

thats all and if so what other games could this run?

Not really.

The NVS 4200m is less powerful than the Intel HD 4000 in 3rd generation Intel CPUs. Borderlands 2 is not a very graphically demanding game, but the NVS 4200m is not a powerful dedicated GPU even when it was new; it's a little faster than a nVidia 520m.


If you already have Borderlands 2, then give it a try or any other old games you may have. You can also maybe try free to play MMO games if there are any that interests you. The only thing you will waste is time downloading them. But you can do that overnight while you sleep.
