what laptop should I get?

Hello,

I have narrowed down my search for a laptop for university down to 2.

It will primarily be used for school work (writting and presentations), web browsing and watching videos.but I also like to play league of legends in my spare time.

My first option is:
Dell xps 13 touchscreen
I7 4510u
8gb ram/ 256 gb ssd
$1169 + tax

I like the touchscreen, but I'm not a fan of the lack of ports.

Second option:
Macbook pro retina
I5 2.6 ghz
8gb ram/ 126 gb ssd
1300+ tax (110$ apple giftcard included)

Storage and OS is not an issue.
I'm having a hard time deciding.

Can anyone give me reasons why I should purchase o e over the other?

I would like this laptop to last around 4 years

Would get the Dell because it is cheaper for the same or better specs.

The Dell has more powerful hardware in it and is a better value. Apple's support is supposedly better, though. I'd say the Macbook is more likely to last you for the long haul, but as long as you take care of the XPS, it should last you awhile and the hardware will withstand the test of time a bit better than the MBP will in terms of capability and software requirements.
