Question What phone to bring to the US that would work with Verizon?

Hi, I'm from the Philippines but I'm vacationing in the US for a month soon. Does anyone have any suggestions what phone I should buy (here in Manila) to bring so that I could use a Verizon sim? One that would still work in the Philippines when I get back? We use GSM here afaik. I guess I'm asking if there are phones that work on GSM and CDMA simultaneously. My current phone is a Note 9 and I don't think I could go on Verizon LTE on this phone. Thanks in advance!
