what scenarios would i need 8GB RAM for

Im planning to buy an i3 processor laptop with windows 10. Most common usage is multiple browser tabs+MS-Office+media player. Very occassional use of audio editing software, when all other apps are closed. Is it worth the extra 12,000 rupees for 8GB RAM ? I want the laptop to last 3 years. Also, how do i find out if the 4GB RAM is upgradable in the future?

do you mean the laptop come with 4GB and asking if 8GB is better or it come with 8GB and asking if 16GB is better.
