Can you please provide more details about the model of your Dell laptop and which operating system you are using?
Normally, if an operating system is unable to find the network adapter, it is because either the installed NIC driver is corrupted or has not been installed at all.
To manage the device drivers:
> Open the Run command box by pressing Windows + R on the keyboard.
> Type DEVMGMT.MSC and press Enter.
