What Specs Better?

I am looking for a new laptop for college and have narrowed it down to two options. My pros and cons are listed below. Plan on doing video editing and some gaming. I guess, my main question is what one (if any) would be better.


First: Dell G3 15 Gaming
8th Generation Intel® Core™ i5-8300H
8GB, 1x8GB, DDR4, 2666MHz
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 with 4GB GDDR5
256 GB SSD

Pros: High performance i5, GTX 1050 4gb
Concerns: Heavy at 5 pounds, low battery life, Less storage.

Second: Inspiron 14 7000
8th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-8550U
8GB, 2400MHz, DDR4
NVIDIA® GeForce® MX150 with 2GB GDDR5
Dual drives with 128GB PCIe NVMe SSD + 1TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive

Pros: i7 processor, dual drives, light at 3 pounds, longer battery life than G3.
Concerns: Processor isn't high performance, Lower end graphics card

For gaming, the one with the 1050 video card. Up to you which one you would rather have, you are the one that has to decide between faster gaming or weight/size/battery
