Hello, I am in the market for a new ~$600 laptop. It is okay to go a little over or under if necessary. I will mainly be using it for programming in school. I have a good desktop already so I do not need huge storage (so I prefer SSD) or a dedicated GPU for gaming (I don't plan on programming or rendering any games by the way). Googling has led me to a choice of these 4 laptops (any other suggestions welcome) and I was wondering which one out of these 4 would be the "best" in your guys' opinion:
ASUS Zenbook UX305UA (AKA the Mac clone)
ASUS F556UA
Acer Aspire E 15
Lenovo ThinkPad 13 (If this should I get the Black or Silver edition?)

Thank you for your help :) ;)

The key to performance on a laptop is the ssd.
I have had great success buying used/refurbished laptops with minimal ram and a small hard drive.
Adding ram and changing to a ssd is not expensive.
One of the best is the Lenovo T430s. The s variants are lighter. You can find them on ebay for $250 or so, depending on what is inside. Some come with a discrete graphics chip for light gaming.
They are usually corporate units that have come off lease and cleaned up.
And... they come with windows 7, not windows 10 which is a plus in my book.
Here is just one example.

Add a Samsung 250gb ssd, you can use their clone utility to migrate.
I have done this to two T430s units with no issue.
