Assuming your dell has a ATX case. you must buy new MB, CPU, RAM, prob a new PSU. If you game a new video card.
With that being said just buy a new computer.

well at the very least you'd have to get a new mobo. the sandy bridge series of i5/i7 chips (as well as i3) are all lga 1155 sockets, meaning you have to get an lga 1155 mobo in order to put the chip in. so p67, z68, z77 mobos are all fine.
