Solved! What to do when number lock stops working- windows 7

Hello,
I have a windows 7 at home and the number luck just stoped working
any suggestions on how to fix it?

may be a faulty keyboard, try another one and see if it works

sorry should have specified this is my laptop key board. When I press the botton it makes a beeping sound and the light goes on and off. What makes it weired is that the arrows work...

you can try bowing out with a can of air, also sometimes you can select if you want num lock on or off at bootup as a bypass to the key

I will try rebooting... if it dosen't work do you have any other ideas?

you can uninstall the keyboard in device manager then reboot, sometime the drivers glitch so that may help
