Solved! What to do when your laptop does not charge and the charger is plugged in?and it does not show "not charging"

Looking for an easy solution, im a student at highschool

If laptop works okay through the mains adapter, the battery may need replacing. They have a limited lifespan -- they eventually get to the point where they can no longer hold a charge.
