Hello everyone, I'm looking for a great gaming laptop, with 2630/2670/2760/2860 and 6990m crossfired. Or 580m sli is better? Then tell me where I can get that for less than $1800. Yes, I'm planning to get a laptop for 40-60 fps in Battlefield 3 for only $1800 max. I'd like to have a minimum FPS of 35, though of course, the more the better. Quality: 1920x1080, I can do well without AA&AF, quality should be at least high. Is there any laptop with such graphics cards and cpu for such money?

Buy a PC, lol j/k ;)

Ok from every test that I've seen BF3 doesn't get bottlenecked by the CPU, so you don't need anything fast or the latest. And from the benchmarks I've seen a GTX580m or 6990m will run the game fine at high or maxed details...

Don't forget about processor! Don't forget about the price! Please! And I didn't say it, but I prefer 17" screen. Still, Sager's is more than desired amount. I'm ready to spend less than $1800. And the rig for $7,000 - yeah, if someone gave it to me!

Well, if there ever were cards with 300w for laptops, it wouldn't have been a laptop card. That's the only reason I see. So, now as nvidia has 40nm transistors, its best laptop card is like 560ti with lower clock, so it's a little better than 560. With 28nm, it might be 580 with lower clock.

If you do a "stupid calculation" and compare bfbc2 vs bf3 and 580m vs 560m, you'll get a rough number of 25 fps in bf3 with 580m. But again, it's just a "stupid calculation". So, now I'm looking for the numbers of fps in bf3 with 2670m+8gb+6990m. Could somebody provide me with those numbers?

You'll do better to start new topic with a title that mentions BF3 and that hardware - otherwise people won't know to look in on this topic.
You're current topic mentions 'cheap' which isn't the direction you're going.

You might also try the Games section of the forum....and of course any good BF3 forums you know about.
