Hi folks,

After all I read, isn't it better to have an Apple Mac than a
Intel Pentium based PC/Laptop, for more stable work ?

For stable work it's better to have a liking for horses.

No. There is no comparison.

I've got a Windows XP Dell Inspiron 700m and a Microsoft Wireless Notebook
Optical Mouse that I'm very satisfied with as for being stable, great
display and works very well on our home network via wireless connection.

I have no experience with Apple or Mac. The closest I've come to them is at
one time I had a couple of Atari computers (Mega 4 ST and a Mega Ste4).

What is better - brain tumor or liver cancer?

This is a religious argument, and no-one is going to convert anyone
else. Each machine has it's plusses and minuses, and it's up to the
individual to decide which to weigh more heavily, and what machine to
buy. OSX isn't really awful, and if every single app you'll ever want
to run on your laptop is available in some fashion on a Mac, and the
price differential doesn't bother you, I'd say go with the Mac for
stability, ease of use, and malware resistance.

I'm constantly amazed by the misfeatures of both WinDoze and OSX,
given how many years of evolution each has behind it. I think eM eL
had it right...

Well, of what you say all of you guys, you consider that there's no
diference between PC and Mac ? They are both two bad things ?
But how to explain then the fact that all the people who depend
heavily on computers in their work, prefer Macintosh ?
That was my question, from the two bad things which is less bad ?

Huh? People who do graphic arts tend to prefer Macs. People who "depend
heavily on their computers in their work" for just about anything else use
PCs. How many commercial web sites are hosted on Macs? How many corporate
datacenters are running Macs? Where can I buy a Mac blade server?

You don't need to explain this "fact" because it's not true.

I have one Mac running OSX, one PC running Win XP and one Dell Laptop
running Win XP. Both operating systems are good. The Mac will have
fewer problems with Viruses, Spyware and Malware. If there is Mac
software for what you want to do, I'd recommend that platform. If
not, go with a PC and get a good virus scanner.

They say the Mac is more stable but my XP machines are rock solid.
