Question What's the difference between SSD and RAM?

Sorry if this is a dumb question I'm just a 13 year old trying to upgrade my old laptop my mom gave me for a better gaming experience, even a small upgrade could help, so my laptop is a Samsung laptop with a removable battery thingy and it's below average for gaming so I really wanna upgrade please help
