Whats with the free Bitdefender 2016

Im looking around youtube to see if i should buy bitdefender and see a free key and alot of people say its working. is there a catch to it?

Ah very true. but sadly its very blatant and they do nothing about it for months.

I oly use eth Microsoft utilities, Security Essentials and Defender, in the one system I have running a MS OS - Windows 7. All my others are Linux based.

I reckon they get to hear about the threat first and fix their definitions updates before they ring round Norton, McAfee, Kasersky, etc. to let them into the secret.
