When I connect my laptop to my bluray theatre through to tv, I get sound through theatre system but no signal to tv?

You would need to set the blu ray device as the source on your TV's menu and the PC as the external source on your Blu ray devices settings menu, if it works at all. Really it's too many devices in the chain. Are you using HDMI, DVI or Displayport?

I am using hdmi cable from laptop to theatre system and hdmi from theatre system to tv

What are the model numbers of your Blu-ray device and TV?
