helllo my laptop is a HP probook 6560 windows 7. when i switch it on the screen stays black what should i do

Try this first. Hook an external monitor and see if your laptop boots to Windows properly. If it does, remove the screen and check the cable for damages. If you see none, please connect it back and make sure the cable is firmly seated.

There's a chance that this will fix the problem.
