When trying to refill my Tracfone with the prepaid phone card I keep getting an error message that the device cannot be found

I have a ZTE TracFone and I I'm trying to refill my minutes with the $80 TracFone refill card that I just purchased but it will not allow me to add my refill minutes. I keep getting an error message saying device cannot be found. Please help I don't know what else to do. I want to keep the same phone number.
