WHich am I printing

I connected an external monitor to my laptop, when I hit print which is it printing the laptop or the external screen

It prints whichever window you hit the print command in. If you use a keyboard shortcut, it prints whichever text you typed would go into.

thank you! I can NOT get this monitor or my laptop monitor to match my prints I bought the spyder calibration unit and software and it was way to yellow. ALso on my lenovo monitor I just connected I can hit the menu button button but I can not or do not know how to move about the menu I have tried everything on the monitor it self. Any help would really really be appreciated at this point.
