For gaming it's simple. The Lenovo has a dedicated GFX card. The 960m destroys the integrated GPU that's inside the I7.

Is the main use of this laptop going to be gaming? If so, out of those two laptops the Lenovo is a clear winner.

If you are comfortable with going completely digital this https/www.amazon.com/Eluktronics-i7-6700HQ-Graphics-Anti-Glare-Performance/dp/B0198K3JVY is even better than that Lenovo and it gets very good reviews. All games would have to be downloaded or you could add an external DVD-RW drive. This does only have a 256GB SSD drive. An external 1TB HDD or SSD would be VERY helpful/needed. With a 970m, i7-6700HQ CPU and 16GB RAM it's most certainly the laptop I would choose.

Both are fine...

Dell has a better support structure, typically not many people really need an i7, save some $$ and get the i5. Then use the $$ to switch to an SSD vs the spinning disk. It'll make either much better.

yip agreed with ^^^ above answer doe dell tend to be a nusanse when it comes to gaming pc as they were for office works etc.
