Well...you then have multiple issues.
What HDD?
And you are going through the USB interface.
What game? Will it run like that?

I'm about the buy the Asus G752 and it has a 1TB 7200 rpm drive but it has a SD card slot on it and I want to know which would be faster.

For now I was just thinking of playing Minecraft through it but i might want to do another game in the future.

I want to use the Curse client version of Minecraft.

Curse client is its own folder with a shortcut but the accounts are in the documents folder.

It is a SDXC card if that makes a difference with 95 mb/s.

Will an SDXC card work as a drive?

Do I have to get an SDSC card?

Those cards really aren't designed as drives, as such, they don't have a memory controller sorting things such as an SSD has. Storage is different from constant usage.
