Which games can i play on my laptop with i5-4200u 1.6 to 2.4 GHz, 4GB RAM and Nvidia geforce 740m 2Gb

Have you tried to run it because according to the specs need for speed most wanted 2012 should've worked on my laptop but it didnt.

I have not. I was merely checking for any Youtube videos of benchmarks with your same spec.

If it can run GTA V decently. Then it should not have any problems with NFSMW, unless its a driver related issue with running it.

If it can run GTA V decently. Then it should not have any problems with NFSMW, unless its a driver related issue with running it.

It was running at the lowest possible quality till the starting sequence but as soon as the race begins, there is nothing but lag. You just cannot play it.

I right clicked on the icon and chose the graphics processor which I wanted to use for the game but still no improvement.

No not yet. Any suggestions apart from GTA V that I can run to test the performance?

Check gpu usage to make sure it's running. Also the same software can tell gpu speeds to make sure it's clocking up. Also check cpu speeds to make sure it's clocking up.

I ran a software( OpenHardware Monitor) to check the performance but I dont know if anything is wrong. Posting results below. Can you check if they are alright? Thanks.

While playing games.as well, the load section under NVIDIA GeForce remains at zero and also the data section under NVIDIA just doesnt change at all.Same with the clocks under NVIDIA. I dont think that should happen.

As suspected, it's just not switching and using your 740m. Are you plugged in? Check in the nvidia control panel and make sure it's on the game list and showing the correct gpu to use. You can also try changing to high performance power plan for windows.

Yup that is showing this. That has been the problem for me for a while which is the reason I am really confused. All NVIDIA drivers are up to date yet i dont seem to know why I cannot run a simple game.

Power plans for windows or if the laptop oem has a power setting software can override those settings. You never mentioned anything about power plans.

Its always on high performance before starting the game.

You're using the driver from nvidia? Try from the oem.
