Hello everyone. I am looking for some advice in buying a gaming laptop. I know that building a small form factor desktop is better in terms of price and performance, but I need something portable. Here are the two laptops that I have narrowed it down to:

1) SAGER NP8157 (http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8157-clevo-p650hs-g.html)

or

2) MSI GE62MVR APACHE PRO-003 (http://www.xoticpc.com/msi-ge62mvr-apache-pro-003.html)

I chose these laptops because they are somewhat portable, and can use up to a 1070gtx. I don't want to go heavier than these laptops. I have been looking on other sites, forums, etc. but the rundown of these laptops is vague. I was hoping people could weigh pros/cons, or had experience with these laptops and could give me their perspective/review.

Thank you!

I do not have any experience with those laptops listed but they are both great. For something more portable, I found these for you:

Hope that helps!

Thank you! I appreciate the links!

My only concern with those laptops is that the cooling would be much worse. I know that gaming laptops will be hot and loud, but I think the ones I posted will be slightly cooler and quieter due to their chassis size.

No problem! And yes that is what I figured but I was not too sure if that was one of your concerns. In that case, have you checked out the new Alienware laptops? I know they have been taking some heat lately but the new ones released have a great price to performance ratio. I purchased the new Alienware 15 R3 myself. The ones Dell has listed for sale now include the new Kaby Lake CPU's compared to the first batch models, Sky Lake. Please check those out too!

For the above mentioned two laptops, I prefer MSI. Once I used an ASUS game laptop, the heat dissipation performance is extremely poor. Of course, the one i used is only about $ 900 .
