Hey Guys.
Buying a gaming laptop soon and wanted someone else's opinion before I make the purchase.

Out of these 3 which one has a better value? By budget is £980.
I am buying of a UK retailer where they make custom laptops. I already have a spare 256gb SSD, which I will install when I get it: (all have i7 6700hq and 8gb RAM)

1.
GTX 960m, 15.6 inch 1080p: £783.00 inc VAT

2.
GTX 965m, 15.6 inch 1080p: £865.00 inc VAT

3.
GTX 970m, 14 inch 1080p: £967.00 inc VAT

I will be using it for: gaming, light video editing and 3d Modeling.
Thanks :)

Well, will you use it for gaming? What kind of games will you use it for?

Well obviously in this cases the more you pay the better, not allways like that but in this 3rd examples it is. Now that is up to you, see which brands do you trust the most, the display, the weight..

It will be quite basic editing for now and I can always throw in an extra stick.

So 14 inch isnt big enough for gaming? Its just the only 15.6inch option for a 970m costs over £1050

I would never buy a computer for gaming with a 14" display. I would hesitate to buy a 15.6 and would probably do what I had to to get a 17". Of course, my Desktop is 27" so I may be a bit spoiled.
