I need a laptop/ultrabook/notebook (not fussed which as long as it meets the requirements) to practise with nmap, bt5 and metasploit. I'm a full time network engineer and want the CEH certification next.
I'm willing to spend up to 1k on a laptop, but prefer cheaper because I don't need an all singing all dancing beast for what I will use it for.
Personal preferences:
-Ctrl key is in the bottom left (i.e. not the Fn key - it does my nut in)
-The touchpad isn't known to for being jumpy or re-sizing windows
-The battery is really good (most important)
-Buttons are beneath the touch pad (i.e not at the top)
-The Wi-Fi is compatible for the aircrack-ng tool.
-It can't be a chunky monkey
