Using Laptop Buyers FAQ

1.300-500 pounds
2. 13-15"
3. High res prefferable
4.Ultrabook prefferable but not a must, will be main computer.
6. Bonus if can play games at med spec
7. Watching videos
8. Flash drive 128 is fine more is better
10. 4-5 years
11. i don't want an optical drive
12. Dell, Acer don't like from experience. I like lenovo i guess.
13. UK
14. Im a student so i will be using Office a lot so it must have a decent keyboard, backlit preferabble.

Hoping for longetivity so 4gb RAM at least.
Light and thin so i can take it around campus.

My budget is bigger given that i am comteplating a macbook pro but if i am going for a windows OS i want to spend as little as possible to account for the fact it will last shorter.

In Summary: Bare-bones laptop, light as possible, only use for school work, no frills.

Thanks

Any suggessions then??

I said they were preferable. I've already seen an i5, 500gb, 4gb, nVidia whatsit at £409

This were preferable then, the summary says bare-bones system for Uni.

Drop the preferences to 3 year usage, 8gb SSD hybrid with low game spec. More realistic?

This one will be quite powerful for your budget.

By the way, If I were you, I won't have minded 200-300 g more, if I were getting a better performance for the same price.

I don't think you will get SSD in your budget. And, if possible, they would have cut down something else, like CPU/GPU.

This, you'd probably need 1000 pounds.
