Which laptop has better specs?

If I had choose between:

-a 12-hr battery with an i5 7th Gen at 2.5 Ghz

OR

-a 9-hr battery with an i5 8th Gen at 1.6Ghz (I know it doesn’t matter but thought I’d put it in just in case)


Which is the better deal? I DO want a long-lasting battery but I also appreciate speedy performance. D:
I know battery power fades and the performance speed could only be slight.

They both have 2 GB Graphics, is that enough to browse, watch videos, and maybe try dabbling in playing games (Fortnight, PUBG, Indie Games) on low-medium settings? Do you think I need to invest in a 4GB?

The 8th gen model by a long way,even ignoring the fact its substantially cheaper the processor is far better & the gpu is more less the same.
