Which laptop is right for me?

In the coming years I am going to be traveling the world. The below will be my uses for this laptop
- Blogging
- I will be taking photos and uploading them to my blog (no photo editing)
- Web browsing (including watching youtube videos)
- Using Word and Excel
- Using Skype every once and a while
- Vlogging (using Sony Vegas for Video editing)

What is important to me
- Battery life
- Non 4k HD screen, LED back lit ,non touch
- HD webcam
- 8 gigs of ram
- HD web cam
- Hdmi port
- Two USB ports
- 256gb pcie ssd (512gb would be nice, but I can just pick up a 512gb flash drive)

My questions
- Which processor above fits my needs?
- A duo core or quad core?
- A 7th gen i5 or i7
- Is an integrated graphics card good enough (I assume so?)

Is 8 gigs of ram enough or should I opt for 16?

I'm looking at 13.5-15.6 inch laptops

Laptops I am considering is the new Microsoft Surface Laptop, XPS 13 and 15, Asus Zenbooks

The XPS 15 is a great option for your needs. The Surface products I'd stay away from, their insanely expensive.

The only complaint I have with the XPS 15 is it's lack of a numberpad, so if you use numbers a lot, one of Asus's high end Zenbooks (15.6 or above) is a better product.

Considering the Dell XPS 15's thin bezels make it similar to the size of a 14" laptop, there is no way to fit a numeric keypad without shrinking down the size of the keys. That would make the keyboard pretty bad except for children who have small hands.

The biggest complaint about the Dell XPS 15 is the location of the camera which is in the lower left corner of the screen. It is a compromise for having a thin bezel which allows this 15.6" laptop to have the footprint of a 14" laptop.
