the laptop has good specs for the price point but acer laptops build quality are shady so im not sure if I would recommend any of them

I have an Acer at home and it's lasted me for a fairly long time. So I can partially attest to their quality I would pick the first laptop with the included SSD, especially if you want a speedy device.

Just got it today! Looks great. Doesn't feel "cheat" The hinges on it actually look pretty rugged.

Question that pertains to this since your laptops have the same GPU as this:

Does the GT 840M Support ShadowPlay?

I can't seem to find the option anywhere for it, it says the driver is too old of a version, yet it states it is up to date under GeforeExperience.

The 840M should not be able to support ShadowPlay. 🙁

ShadowPlay is a feature that's included with GPU's starting with the 850M GTX.
