Hey guys!
I'm looking to buy one of the new 2015 xps 13 models. There are two I am looking at.
One has:...i7-5600u and 256GB SSD.
The other: i7-5500u and 512GB MOBILITY SSD
All other specs are the same apart from the wireless but.. will get to that later.
So, my question is - what is the difference between the SSDs apart from the size? What is a mobility SSD? I've looked around online but can't seem to find anything. Is it simply that the 256GB is a 2.5" standard SSD and the mobility SSD is mSata? I thought mSata stood for mini sata though.
And, which laptop should I go for?
The slightly faster cpu is always nice to have but the other one is double the storage space. However, if the faster cpus ssd is a standard 2.5" then I have a spare 512GB 2.5" ssd here anyway so can upgrade it as soon as it arrives in which case that would be better (and £50 cheaper!)
The other difference as I said is the wifi. The i7-5600u model comes with 'Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 2x2 + Bluetooth 4.0' and the i7-5500u comes with 'DW 1560 + BT4.0 [802.11ac + Bluetooth 4.0, Dual Band 2.4&5 GHz, 2x2]' - and according to the dell site, the i7-5600us wireless connection is the 'better' one since its highlighted in the compare screen.
Thanks
