which laptop should i get?

i need to buy a laptop within the next 3 days for college.i want a laptop which is light,fast, with a long battery life,has good screen resolution and can last for at least 6 years.i also play alot of games.my budget is 1200 dollars.is there a huge difference between 6th gen i7 and 5th gen i7? if yes then i will wait for a while.

It is hard to tell, but it looks it is a mix of light and heavy - more on the medium side. It does meet all you requirements\ though.
