they both have intel gma 4500mhd graphics cards which aren't that good.. it should suffice for watching movies, youtube, office productivity suites, etc. no gaming and no blu-ray (doesn't have blu-ray drive and if it did, wouldnt play smoothly)

Pros about the HP:
more secure OS (64 bit version of win7)
more ram (by 1gb, but ddr2)
bigger screen
faster cpu (although very marginal)

Pros about Toshiba:
much cheaper

ddr2/ddr3 difference isn't TOO much.. i think you would actually see better performance from the HP imho..

With the sale price, it's only $50 more...
I just wish it had a better graphics card, for my video work...
And I hope the 64 bit Windows 7 will work with all my programs...
