Hello.I'm going to buy a laptop that's going to be used mainly for games ,like League of legends and maybe some of the new headlines (for short periods on low settings).Currently, im deciding between:
HP Probook 450 - i5 4200M , AMD Radeon 8750M(DDR 3 2gb) , 4gb RAM (1600mhz) ,1 TB
VS
Lenovo IdeaPad M5400 - i3 4000M ,Nvidia Geforce GT 740m (64 bit, 2 gb ddr3) , 8gb RAM(1600mhz) , 1 TB

Which one will do better overall if used for games mainly?

Solution
Go with the Hp Pro book 450. Reasons be:
It has a better processor when compared to the Lenovo i5 4200M vs i3 4000M (although there will be no major difference in performance where gaming is concerned). The mos important thing though now is that the AMD Radeon 8750M that the HP has will out perform the Gt 740 m that the lenovo has.
While the HP has only 4 GB RAM,that memory is sufficient for those games that you have listed there. Also,
the it can be upgraded to a maximum of 16 GB RAM; so that should not be a problem for you. I recommend the HP.
I was thinking about the lenovo too, but isn't the 64 bit version of the nvidia 740m worse, compared to the 128 bit amd ? Also is there really a big difference between the 64 and 128 bit nvidia 740 m or it's quite the same?

Honestly, the 64 bit will be like 50% worse, but the lenovo build has 8gb ram, which I think makes up for it.

I change my mind. Maybe it would be upgradable RAM. In that case, I'd go with the 128bit card and see if you can get 8gb later. 128 bit is like the minimum to play a lot of newer games.

Go for the HP. It has a better CPU and better GPU. The GT 740m on the lenovo is the 64bit version with the GK107 chip. So the 128 bit of the AMD offers double total bandwidth. 4Gb of ram is enough for most games. Only the latest "hungry" games require more than 6Gb, but for those you will need top parts to play.
