Hello everyone, just a little question for someone who is a little bit more experienced in TV's than me.

I am planning on getting a 4k TV for my room. I'm not really a person who sits judging quality of the TV (sound and picture) however I would like a decent TV. I don't intend to play any games on this TV just simply standard TV, Netflix, YouTube etc.

Both of the TV's are stated down below.

Philips 49PUS6401 49 Inch 4K Ultra HD Ambilight Smart TV - http://www.argos.co.uk/product/5288906

Samsung UE40KU6000 40 Inch UHD HDR Smart LED TV - http://www.argos.co.uk/product/5395851

The only major difference I can tell is that the Samsung is 9 inches smaller. Was just hoping someone could help me settle the difference as they are both within my price range. Both TV's seem to have positive and negative reviews most of them being judgmental about sound which again I am easy going if needed I could get a soundbar.

Thanks guys, look forward for your feedback!

Samsung as a brand has a better reputation. You should head to an electronics store and take a look at some models in person to decide as far as quality of image or audio.

And a 9" difference is pretty big, all things being equal, I'd pick the larger screen. In a 40" screen, 4k is wasted. I'd say only over 42" would you see a clear difference with 4k image.
