Which TV should I choose?

I'm getting ready to purchase a new TV and I've narrowed my choice to two. The first is a newer model Samsung 46" for $699 and the second is an older model Samsung 50" for $750. Which of these would you choose? Would it be worth sacrificing 4 inches for the newer model?

do you want 120hz or not?

the newer model is smaller but supports 120hz and is cheaper.
the older model is larger but doesnt and is more expensive.

i'll throw a third option at you. if you look on bestbuy.com the 50" sony bravia kdl50r450a 60hz tv is on sale for $599 so its cheaper than the other options you have while being the same size as the larger tv. also its a sony so its about the same quality (samsung and sony are probably the two best choices right now).

if you plan to hook the tv up to a computer or game console i would stay 60hz. if you plan to hook it up to cable only for such things as sports perhaps you want 120hz. if you plan a bit of both... just remember to do pc/games you would need to be in 60hz mode and normally only certain hdmi ports can be used (so you may need a hdmi switch or splitter if you have multiple devices that need to use 60hz mode).
