Hello all! I need some advice on a new work/gaming laptop. I currently have a desktop which is where I do more heavy gaming, but I would also like to game on the go. I need something that has portability too because I will be using this for work as well. Here are the laptops I have been looking at:
Gigabyte P35v3-CF7

Sager NP8652

MSI GS60 Ghost Pro

I was also looking at the Lenovo Y series. It is definitely a contender, but I saw that it has an 860M video card while the ones above have 900series cards. I was hoping for some advice on which one to get. If you have any of these laptops, then please let me know too because I would like to know what you think of them.

Thank you!

Thank you for your reply! It's really helpful since I'm gathering all the info I can before making a decision.

Temperature was one thing I was concerned about. I had read that it got really really hot. I know it will get hot, but it was getting somewhere around 115 degrees F. However, I think you are right that it was with the 870M, and not the 970M.

What is the advantage to getting a 4k? (http://www.xoticpc.com/msi-gs60-ghost-pro-4k080-p-7624.html)

I'm using a 1920 x 1200 display on my laptop. As zemome said "Once you try an Ultra HD display, there is no turning back." I'm stuck with a 7 year old laptop because no one makes a 17" or bigger display of that quality now. Text is small and many software applications don't cope well with being magnified to 125% text scale. They are slowly getting better though. What is more noticeable is the lack of elastic layouts on many web pages. Most have huge blank areas either side of the text. Tom's guide is one of the better ones - it only has a 2 inch gap either side!
