Yes but only if you choose to enable it when you purchase the Android and if you later choose to disable it, guess what - It stays disabled! Apple dont give you that choice (among other things). I'm so happy i ditched my crapple phone for a real phone!

You do realize that location data cannot be made autonomous. Look at the place of the phone for 8 hours a day Monday through Friday, then between the hours of say 10pm and 6am every night, bingo you now have the persons work and home address. How anonymous is that?

I let Latitude on my phone track my movements. I think it's really cool that it determines what my work and home is and can do a cool little chart about hours spent in my week. Besides, I have nothing to hide so I can't say I particularly mind.
