I was looking for a laptop with an exceeding processor, great ram, a big screen & harddrive, and atleast a decent GPU. All over ebay they have these HP Pavilion DV6T ad DV7T but they all say they have the fancy Intel Core i7-720Q which is top notch for laptops. They each have 4 GB of DDR3 Ram which is great, and a 1gb Nvida Geforce 230m (kinda lame, but I still think it'll work). Between the 2 models, the only difference is the DV6t is smaller and has a blue ray burner, and they both cost...

About $1000! Sellers on ebay have plently in stock, and they're brand new. Why are they so cheap? The sellers are legit!I only have $1000 so I will probably buy this.

I don't think that is all that cheap. Have you visited www.hp.com recently? I have been pricing those i7 quads from HP's website and they typically start around $999 and have free HDD upgrade and free Memory upgrade. You can buy directly from the source and skip the Ebay crap for the same price.

Yeah you're right $1000 is a lot of money, maybe not for a brand new laptop, but I was just wondering. These laptops have core i7, good ram... but they are a lot cheaper than similar laptops being sold.

I should buy it? Btw, are the GPYU cards always soldered on? I originally wanted something from Sony, but too expensive for the same thing!

I'm also looking at this one from Best Buy, about the same price, but has an awesome GPU (GTX 260M)! Only problem is it has a core 2 duo instead, which should impact me A LOT for multitasking. Opinions please? Thanks a lot. I'd love to multitask, but I'd also like to run games like a pro... the 230m probably won't do :(. I know how to build my desktops, but laptops confuse the hell out of me.

It is practically the same as far as I can see, but they downgraded the CPU for a GPU upgrade. It's only a 2.26 GHZ Core 2 Duo instead of an i7 that had 4 cores and is 1.6-2.8 GHZ. Seem's like a major loss... but idk.

Oh. Wow duh, it's the same thing without warrent. Yeah was sure to get because the RAM and CPU are awesome... but I just decided on a dual core with ddr2 ram only because the better GPU (GTX 260M)

Nonsense. I'm still using a Dell e1505 that has to be six years old now, for which I paid $8xx (forgot). Its miserable little x1300 can't play modern games, but will handle Diablo II just fine on a three hour flight. I've replaced the battery a couple of times, but it is still doing well.
