i recently bought the exp gdc adapter for graphics card but i could not run it on my loptopt that has 2x8 gb ram stick but when i removed those sticks and insert the 2gb ram stick it works fine, but the thing is that i whant to at least have 4 gb of ram in my laptop

Did you make sure that your laptop is capable of having the amount of ram you are using? And is it capable of handing the upgrade in 8mb increments? No matter how much we want to upgrade to much larger amounts of ram, some systems just are not set up to handle that.

well my laptopt is capable of handling 16gb of ram but when I connect it to the external gpu won't but up unless I put only 2 gb of ram

The larger ram you installed, are you sure they are the same as the 2 one is. Other than size, obviously, they should have the same specs. If not, then there is your problem. Also, although a computer says it can handle say up to 16, depending on the number of slots it has for the ram, then using 8s may be to large as individual ones.

my laptop works amazingly with 16 gb of ram ( 2x8gb) but I bought a device called exp gdc that can fit a gtx 750 ti, is like an adapter and I notice that when I plug it in to my laptop trough the pcie slot that has the WiFi card it just won't but up is just a black screen, than I tried with 2 gb of ram only and it worked so the problem is that why does the exp gdc adapter won't work with anything grater than 2 gb of ram in my hp envy 17t-j100
