I am also not sure about that 4GB of RAM....the common thought is that you really need double that with Windows.

If your lag and other issues are not caused by a problem with drivers, then the only things you can do hardware wise are the RAM and SSD as you may know.

Before you go and buy stuff, you may want to check the device manager for conflicts and then boot into safe mode to see if the performance is any different.

Good luck,
R
upgrade the Laptop with a SSD (sata 2.5")
eventually the RAM to 8GB

By laggy you mean working with it is laggy? mouse cursor is slow or stutters? it does freezing the screen?

This laptop is not really for gaming, more for simple tasks like office, multimedia, browsing

to have a look what the problem could be:
run userbenchmark.com and post the http link of your result, e.g. https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/28977730

My friend, what are you doing with that laptop? Are you trying to play big FPS games? It is fairly under powered, I am sorry to say. People pay a lot for laptops to get the power that they need for a particular task....

Yes your description of the stutters is correct. No im not gaming on this laptop since it is for mostly studies and stuff however i do watch videos on movies on it and the web browser seems to be having a lot of hanging issues.

thanks for the recommendation for upgrading it. i have another question on the sata ssd upgrade that whether i will be able to transfer contents off of my current hdd to the Sata SSD and how?
