why my acer laptop cannot connect to its own web cam ?

My laptop says ' connect a camera ' when i open its webcam . what may be the problem of the laptop . Is its driver missing or this is due to my laptop is of low quality ?

Yes, it sounds like you have a missing driver. What model is your Acer? With that information, you should able to track down the missing driver fairly easily.
