Sure they are with ddr3l model too, but why ddr3 still.
Shouldn't all the laptop company transfer to ddr4 , even on they low end laptop

Wouldnt these laptop with sky lake i5 processor and ddr3 ram get damaged as they are saying when used both together on desktop, if yes then why these companies are allowed to sell them

$699 the MSI looks alright. Batman game probably don't want any less then a 960m i'd imagine @ 720/1080p for that game going by notebookcheck. Just going to have to look around dude for a good deal on at least a laptop with a quad core cpu, 8GM memory, dedicated graphics 2GB Vram, for 600$ won't get much unless second hand.

Look at reviews for a laptop and see game performance.

The performance difference from DDR3 And DDR4 is not that huge, it come all on the Price. DDR4 is not totally Mainstream so it cost relatively more than DDR3. I think it will take 1 or 2 years before DDR4 becomes fully Mainstream.

To use DDR3 with Skylake it has to be the low voltage type called DDR3L (low voltage) operates at 1.35v instead of the normal DDR3 memory at 1.5v which can damage the processor's memory controller. Skylake laptops will be using the compatible DDR3L 1.35v memory.
