Why the iPhone is Crippled on Verizon's Network

I've been able to talk and surf at the same time on Verizon's network with wi-fi and BlueTooth turned off, using just the 4G LTE on my HTC Thunderbolt, for at least a year. So the claims that Verizon can't do both simultaneously are completely false. Perhaps the data sheets the naysayers are using are out of date?
