Why won\'t laptop recognize the battery ??

I might be an issue with your new battery. Does it recognize the old one at all?

It might be a software issue as well. Can you clean install?

yes it recognized the old battery and did this one when i first put it in,then when I plugged it in it would not recognize it

When the laptop is plugged in it will not show it charging except the light will blink until it is charged. Is the laptop battery charging at all? Go to the battery section and select to show desktop icon when connected select them both. If your not charging then it is another matter. Download the driver for the battery at your computer support pages under drivers and downloads, etc, If it does take a charge the set the mode to see on system tray for the battery.

Some laptops have built in chips to only allow oem batterys so you cant use cheap replacements.
