Hi there,

In the near future I plan on purchasing one of Apple's 13-inch MacBooks. I originally planed on upgrading the laptop with a slightly faster i5 processor and 16gb of 1866MHz ram. Unfortunately due to price at the moment I can only afford the upgraded processor and not the extra RAM. So thus comes my question, since I can't afford the extra ram now will I be able to upgrade it in the future? Any advice on the matter will help, thanks in advance.

Alright thanks for your help, one more question though. Since I can't upgrade the RAM in the future than do you think it's worth the extra $200 to get 16gb?

It depends on what you will be doing with the MacBook Pro. If you will be using it for video editing or editing images with Photoshop (or some other image editing software) then it may well be worth the extra $200 for the 16GB.

I mainly want the 16gb so it will last longer.

Since, as velo3100 mentioned, you can't upgrade the RAM at a future date then I would spend the extra $200 for it now. I don't think you'll regret it.

the 16gb is just so the performance will last longer

Alrighty, thanks man its much appreciated.
