Will learning blender take time

i am good in 3ds max as well as some what in Maya. I came to know that blender is rising in demand. So I would like to know whether will it take a lot of time for basics. I would also like to know which is better Maya, Blender or 3ds max for architectural modelling

Yes, it will take time to learn Blender. Exactly how much time depends upon the individual. There are scads of tutorials available: https://www.google.com/search?q=blender+tutorial&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

As to which one is better for a particular job, it comes down to what you want to accomplish, and which of the tools better matches the job requirements.

Learning may not be the right word. All you need to learn is the main stuff at first. Then go for some modelling tutorials. Mostly you ll learn how to use it but it will be harder to get the shape you want. But if you are telling you are good at 3ds max then it shouldnt be a hard one to learn.
