It has everything that i want but will it be good for gaming? I just need it to play games with no lag i don't care if its low or medium graphics settings I have a desktop at home so i wont use it much. Thanks

Yeah, I can't tell the difference between the two even when looking that the specs.

The HP basically has an Intel HD 4600 graphics core. It's pretty good for an Intel graphics core, but you will find that playing will be rather lacking especially on a 1920x1080 screen. You would need to play games at either 1366x768 or 1600x900 resolution for decent results with low, medium or a mix of low & medium graphic settings. 1366x768 resolution for any somewhat graphically demanding game released in 2010 to now and 1600x900 for somewhat graphics demanding game released in 2009 and before. This is a very general statement.

Click the below link for some benchmark results of the Intel HD 4600 in a desktop Core i7-4770k (3.5GHz). Expect lower results in the laptop version.

Yeah, based on the links to HP's website I would choose the less expensive m7-j020dx model for $999.

It has a 1920x1080 "full anti-glare" screen vs. a glossy 1600x900 screen. Glossy screens reflects light like a mirror and makes it very annoying / difficult to use an a bright environment unlike a screen with anti-glare (matte) screen. The higher resolution also means the desktop is larger so that you can see more on the screen, but everything will also look smaller because of that.

Many people seem to prefer glossy screen because they make colors "pop" while on a matte screen colors look muted.

This is an example of how colors look on 17 MacBook Pros with a glossy screen on the left and a matte screen on the right.

The following image are two MacBook Pros in a brightly lit environment. Both are displaying the same webpage. The matte screen is on the left, while the glossy screen is on the right.

These are pictures of 1920x1080 vs 1600x900 resolutions

This is a video of someone demonstrating the difference of 1600x900 and 1920x1080 his Toshiba Qodmio X500-10Z. Note that the native resolution of the screen is 1920x1080, when using a resolution less than the native resolution images and text will not look as sharp as on the native resolution. If you were to compare a laptop with a 1920x1080 resolution screen against a laptop with a 1600x900 resolution screen you will note that text and images on both should look equally as sharp, but things will look smaller on the 1920x1080 resolution screen.
